I have always loved traveling and exploring new places. Whether it is a new city, state, or country, there is nothing more enriching than creating new memories that will last forever. It is truly priceless! I extensively research and plan my trips to ensure that I am using my travel time wisely. I create itineraries and always leave “free days” just in case we run into some friendly locals that suggest great things to do, which ALWAYS happens. Usually the spontaneous days are the best parts of my trips. No plans… just go!
Embracing a new culture and meeting new people broadens my thinking and exposes me to another way of life. I discover new things about myself and some experiences have changed my way of thinking. I have even stepped outside my comfort zone to try new things. I appreciate the many things I have learned over the years from traveling. Whenever I travel, I immerse myself into the culture. It is more than taking pretty pictures in front of “popular tourist attractions.” I crave to explore the hidden gems, learn the traditions and lifestyle of the culture, and meet the locals. I have encountered so many humble people with good hearts on my travel journeys. Some people have turned into long distance family and I have made great friendships along the way. These friends have greeted me with warm welcomes, made me feel safe in a place I have never visited, and made sure I was in good hands throughout my trip.
One of my favorite parts of traveling is the FOOD! Anyone that knows me is well aware that I am a huge foodie. (Well, outside of my food allergies I am lol). I love to indulge in cuisine and taste the savory flavors of the home dishes. Whether I am fine dining or enjoying food from a local mom and pop shop, I get so excited to try new food spots. Although I do my independent research for great restaurants to try while traveling, I always seek recommendations from locals for the really good places to try out.

Traveling has shown me the breathtaking beauty each place has to offer. I have witnessed some of the most beautiful sunsets that have kissed this earth. I have watched the sunrises over volcanoes and mountains. I have seen intricate temples, castles that have moved me to tears, beautiful skyscrapers, artwork, and views I never knew could exist. I capture pictures and share them because there are places in the world that everyone should experience. Pictures are truly worth a thousand words. Sometimes there are not enough words to explain the beauty captured in that specific moment. I often look back in awe at the stunning views this world has to offer.
