I have always had a passion for helping people. After serving as a Prosecutor and pursuing justice, I decided to pivot and follow my true love: helping entrepreneurs and small businesses protect their businesses.

Long story short, time management. Work hard, play hard.

I knew I wanted a travel blog years before I launched one. I desired to create a unique travel blog that captured my travel adventures and integrated my legal expertise. I struggled with finding a name for years because nothing resonated with my vision. The name “Legal and Abroad” came to me in November 2019, encapsulating the essence of my vision. Through this platform, I aim to inspire creativity, offer valuable legal insights, and assist fellow travelers. As a result, Legal and Abroad has come to life, and it continues to flourish.

Yes and no.  Yes, regarding attorneys’ busyness and hiccups in cases. No, as far as the theatrics. TV dramatizes law life, so most lawyers dislike watching law shows. They are unrealistic and purely for entertainment and dramatization. The whole smoking gun that brings you the grand slam victory in every trial? Yeah, it’s totally unreal and usually does not happen.

Yay! Congratulations on taking this extraordinary step. You only need a budget, a destination, and an open mind. I have an incredible travel resource that covers everything for beginner travelers and seasoned globetrotters!
There are ways to travel safely alone. Some destinations are safer than others. However, that does not mean you should let your guard down. I always encourage solo travelers to practice caution when traveling alone. Check out my Keys and Gems on traveling solo!
ABSOLUTELY! Experience has taught me that having it and not needing it is better than needing it and not having it. I have encountered too many situations where I was thankful for my travel insurance. Plus, you never know when you will have to postpone or cancel a trip unexpectedly.
This is one of my favorite things to do while traveling. In addition to my independent research, I always ask locals, accommodation staff, and tour guides for tips on having an authentic experience. While I enjoy the “touristy” experiences that destinations offer, I also appreciate those hidden gems that elevate my cultural experience.
My first international trip was after college to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Once I touched foreign soil, I knew I wanted to explore as much of the world as possible. Since then, I have traveled to multiple continents.
I hail from the pristine beaches of the 757! I was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, and I love my hometown!
Although in pictures I look taller, I am 5’0.
I absolutely adore fried chicken wings. They’re my ultimate guilty pleasure, bringing pure joy to my heart. Needless to say, I pride myself on being a true fried chicken wing connoisseur.
I am very family-oriented. I love hanging out with my loved ones and creating special memories.
Growing up, my Granddaddy and Daddy had an extensive vinyl record collection. I have always loved music, so I knew I wanted a vinyl record collection when I grew up. Once I started, it became a beautiful addiction. I now have an ever-growing collection filled with music across all genres.
